Course Highlights: This course focuses on tactical shooting concepts, development of advanced gun-handling skills and dynamic action when using the shotgun for personal defense and home defense applications.  Students will develop advanced gun-handling skills with the shotgun that will enable them to engage threats while performing multiple complex tasks quickly and efficiently.

You’ll walk away with an understanding of conflict avoidance and situational awareness; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and why it’s important to have a legal and financial backup plan if you are ever forced to defend yourself. 
 
How to become familiar with, avoiding confrontations & responding to an attack, presenting (shouldering) & shooting the shotgun from concealment, mastering trigger control & trigger reset, moving to cover & shooting while moving, shooting from cover, shooting while wounded (strong & weak handed), engaging multiple targets, reloading while moving.
 
Owning or carrying a firearm is about taking personal responsibility for our safety and the safety of our families and recognizing that we are our first responder. It’s time to take that responsibility seriously.
 
Course Completion Requirements:  Successful completion of this course requires adherence to course policies, maintaining a minimum score of 70% on the course final examination, and successfully demonstrating all required skills.

Course Attendance Policy:  Student attendance is required at all scheduled classes. 
 
Lodging & Meals:  Lodging and meals not provided, but local camping areas and hotel information will be provided upon request or registration.
