This is a (40 hr.) specialized instructor course. The targeted audience is for instructors who may find themselves instructing students experiencing physical and / or mobility disabilities.
 
This course will aid the instructor to adapt their respective training program and / or skill requirements, so that all students are afforded the ability to train and show competency without barriers. This course will cover the necessary critical thinking skills and  workshops strengthening the skills covering safe methods of adaptation.
 
Physical training activity and mobility may be impaired by a number of conditions, some of which are permanent, others of a temporary or intermittent nature. Students have a mobility disability may not always be immediately apparent. Needs will vary, and difficulties may fluctuate.
 
Some students will choose to disclose their disability; others will not. Instructors must reasonable opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned, without lowering standards.
 
Course Completion Requirements: Successful completion of this course requires adherence to course policies, maintaining a minimum score of 70% on the course final examination, and successfully demonstrating all required skills.
 

Course Attendance Policy: Student attendance is required at all scheduled classes.
 
Lodging & Meals:  Lodging and meals not provided, but local camping areas and hotel information will be provided upon request or registration.
