Course Highlights: Students will learn how to become familiar with, avoiding confrontations & responding to an attack, presenting (Shouldering) & shooting the Defensive Carbine from concealment, mastering trigger control & trigger reset, moving to cover & shooting while moving, shooting from cover, shooting while wounded (strong & weak handed), engaging multiple targets, reloading while moving.

You’ll walk away with an understanding of conflict avoidance and situational awareness; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and why it’s important to have a legal and financial backup plan if you are ever forced to defend yourself.

Course Completion Requirements: Successful completion of this course requires adherence to course policies, maintaining a minimum score of 70% on the course final examination, and successfully demonstrating all required skills.
Course Attendance Policy: Student attendance is required at all scheduled classes.
